Surrounded by popular tourist attractions and located near a metro station, this place offers delicious local breakfast options at the outdoor restaurant.

The atmosphere created was elegant! The location was amazing and I could use free parking on site. Ate at Grill House, it's at a moderate distance from the venue.
Views were really bad.

Good location in the wonderful interior garden, elegant style building. Right by the inside restaurant and Protestant churches and schools and Old City.

Great staff, from the friendly person at the front desk to the doorman who's been here for two whole decades! 🌟 Service and upkeep are on point.

All the comfort you expect from a luxury hotel (or almost) combined with the charm of an historical building. Convenient location within walking distance from the old city (10minutes), wonderful patio / garden. Swimming pool seems to be nice, but was closed during my stay (in March). Rooms are nicely furnished with typical furniture and accessories. Breakfast with huge choice of European, American and local (less) product. Staff friendly and helpful. Good WiFi in all public areas in the main building, business center with printer etc.
I had a small room in an annex building, which was nice, but rather noisy, there was a sort of night club or bar (?) with arab music late at night and traffic and car radios early in the morning, all could be heared even with closed window. I had dinner at the hotel once and was rather disappointed, the kitchen is rather french/italian than local, good quality but nothing special, slightly stiff atmosphere and service and all this for a high price compared to local standards. There are better dining options in Jerusalem! Would have preferred to have more local products at breakfast as well (I do not come to Israel to have a "Selection of International Cheese", they have so good products there! WiFi did not work well in my room.

The American Colony hotel is essential to any itinerary of a visitor to Israel. Located on the "seam line" , this oasis of peace and beauty demonstrates how an ideal can actually be achieved. Breakfast or afternoon tea in the courtyard, barbeque in the gardens, or a day by the pool, can restore one's soul. The rooms are spacious and well maintained; simply but adequate furnishings. The staff are courteous, helpful and multilingual, The cuisine is not as outstanding as it was years ago. The best food is now served in the barbeque garden. Don't miss the wonderful bookshop and antique store.

The American Colony Hotel is exceptionally clean. the staff, from Arenne at the front desk to the doorman with 20 years of experience, are competent. - the room is a nice size and unique, with a balcony. - the breakfast at the BBQ is generous and the best in Jerusalem.

Excellent service, close to old city, comfortable rooms, great breakfast, free wifi..
Overpriced (rooms weren't quite as spectacular as you'd expect for the price)

The room was nicely decorated and even had a balcony to chill on 🌿. the spot was super convenient, just a quick 4-6-minute walk to an Anglican cathedral nearby.

great location - so close to an anglican cathedral. set adjacent to the centre, the tram, which is about a 7 minute walk from the hotel, at the shivtei israel stop, and 2 different areas in the perfectly safe area.

Beautiful hotel, historical place, professionalism of staff. also romantic as long as you have a quiet room
The unwillingness of the front desk to offer a concession after we were unable to rest due to the cooridor in front of our room being used fora very noisy way station for food and trolleys.

This place offers splendid rooms with comfortable decor, a very good and lovely breakfast at the BBQ, and well-presented food, in an amazing location not too far from an Anglican cathedral.

It provided everything that I needed for my business trip including a very comfortable room with complimentary and effective wi-fi. I also made good use of the gym, though the out-door pool was not open in winter. It was so nice to stay in an hotel with real character and some history also - not just another modern clone.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
